If you do a video, make sure you can do a burn out. If the guy and his brother were drag racing the car when it was new, a burn out video would sure be appropriate. An in car trip down the strip with the sound of the 6 barrels howling would be a great reminder of pretty happy days gone by. What better way would there be to remember an old drag car? Gene

Mike,
I would totally bring the car to him if it made sense. Summer of 2019 I traveled to PA for Chrysler Nats and the A12 Reunion. I toyed with the idea of transporting the car, but it would be a huge ordeal and risky as well. Had I done that, I would have absolutely stopped by Carl's home on the way there. Heck, I would have offered to bring him along to Carlisle!
Just a thought...not knowing all the concerns with bringing it to him (understanding its a pretty good distance and expense) do you think he may contribute to the expense. It is going to cost him a plane ride out and back and at least one nites accommodations plus meals for not just him but a travel companion as well. Considering also his health concerns maybe there is a solution there??? Again just a thought.

WIN,
They did take on the expense of the originally planned trip, but that wasn't my intention. I've offered to pay for the flights or help in any way I can to make the trip happen. They thanked me for the offer and eventually bought plane tickets and never said anything about needing any assistance. I lightly mentioned "letting me know" if I could help with any costs a few days before they were supposed to come out. At this point I don't think the cancellation was financial. I just didn't want money to get in the way of being able to come out. I think this was purely a health concern at this point.
