why do some 63 plumouths have amber parking light lenses, and others have clear lenses ? was it a mid year change ? option ? i have always wondered about this, but i never asked. TIA as always !

They were clear/white on my '63 Savoy wagon with amber bulbs. Very original car.

My 415 HP M.W. 1963 Belvedere 2 door sedan came with the amber bulbs, I was the third owner of that car when I bought it in 1971. I bought another 1963 M.W. Belvedere minus motor and tranny several years later and it had them also, both where in SO CA cars 
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

I think it was a DOT rule change. I've heard they would give you a citation though if your car didn't have the correct color, like if you asked orange lenses for clear or the other way around. They didn't joke around!

FWIW, on GM's, 63 was a split year. Some came clear, some were amber.
July 19th should be "Drive Like Rockford Day". R.I.P. Jimmie.
