69 Charger 440. New pump. I drained the tank at the sending unit using an electric pump. Had flow. I buttoned everything up, but I get no flow from the tank to the pump. Very little at best. Can the line running the length of the body be that bad? I plan to by pass it with a length of rubber hose temporarily to narrow down the issue. Odds of a new bad pump? It's a Carter M4589 6psi. Merry Christmas to all!

I would suspect a bad fuel pump pushrod. Did you take it out and inspect when you replaced the pump? They do go bad on Mopar big blocks, and some are just soft and wear prematurely. Inspect for wear, and measure the length. There is info regarding what the length should be on the net.

I did inspect it, no measuring. It looked fine. I actually was going to replace it (had to order) since I had it out, but it looked OK.

Not familiar with the B body fuel line setup but I have seen where the factory used sections of rubber line to connect hard lines and if those are old and cracked you suck air and not fuel. Of course, and hole in the hard lines, rubbing, rust, etc, will do the same thing. Disconnect the rubber line at the sending unit outlet and use compressed air to pressurize the lines and look/listen for leaks. You shouldn't need a lot of PSI. A squirt bottle of soapy water might help. Maybe seal off the fuel pump end of that hose.

Well, it turned out to be the new pump. I danced all around the pump and finally tested it. BAD! Suggestions on a mechanical pump for the 69 440 Charger and a new push rod?

If you current pushrod is OK, leave it alone. The NOS ones are about all I trust anymore.

The pushrod looks fine. Measures 3.2/165" or 81.68mm. Any suggestions on a pump?

carter's are still made here in the US. Both the stock replacement and the HP versions.
