Hi Team,

Just updated my car this weekend with a new transmission from 727 Specialists. I wanted to get some feedback for anyone that made this switch to a reverse valve body. I'm not a racer outside of test and tune, but had a manual valve body with a pistol grip 3 speed for 4 years. My issues now is my habit of wanting to shift it into 1st gear when I'm in second, especially when I'm zoning out and just cruising off muscle memory. Is there any modification for the pistol grip that anyone is using to also reverse the locking mechanism on the shifter, or will I have to change it out for something aftermarket? In time, I'll get used to it, but also seems like a expensive accident waiting to happen.

This thread is a PERFECT example of a member presenting his problem and another presenting a solution. Impressive. The shifter gate is hundreds $$ less than an aftermarket shifter to boot.

Keep old mopars alive.

I agree - It's refreshing to not get crapped on like other forums. Thanks again. I'm going to get that ordered and hopefully keep my new transmission together without paying the idiot tax of shifting into 1st gear at 70 MPH haha.
