Don't take this the wrong way, but why do so many people choose to race B-body's? Start with an A-body for so many reasons and go from there...unless it was super cheap or somthing....

Better looking cars( unless its a 67-69 fastback barracuda), easier to fit a big block in. No small bolt pattern brakes to deal with, , most came with 8 3/4 or danas, larger wheel wells. Initial cost is less.

Doug, well now I've seen two of them, when I saw the first pic I thought it, Never seen a 63 converted to single headlights, I assume they were both converted and didnt come from the factory?

That is a NICE car. As far as B body selection. What makes the A body better? Certainly can’t be header selection or ease of engine access. As far as weight? Mines 3100 empty, 3320 race ready full of fuel. Factory style interior minus the back seat, factory floor pan and rails, steel bumpers, old school cast wheels, Mega block, Dana, fire system, 2 carbs. Only glass body part is the hood and it’s pretty heavy, 36 lbs. Doug
