Ok, guys!
I have a weird problem, on my 1966 Dodge Coronet 440.
My drum brakes on the front passenger side let loose and ruined my brake drum.
It left some horrible scars that can't be rubbed (turned) out.
I would like to only swap out the brake drum, but it is mounted to the hub.
This is different from the driver's side front.
Is there any way to separate the drum from the hub?
Let me know.
Thanks!
Tim...

Sure. Use a swedge cutter to cut the swedge on the studs and then just tap it out. I made some swedge cutters and still have some extras if you have interest.

Thanks!
So do I have to replace the studs or does it only cut the swedge around the bottom of the stud?
Can you PM me? Maybe we can make a deal.

Hey Doug... Interesting.... Not sure how you would remove the center bit. But seems like that would work. Thanks!

most quality hole saws use a separate mandrel with a removable 1/4" drill bit that is held in with a set screw. some single name brand hole saws without the mandrel have removable bits as well, but not all do. if you buy one for this, keep in mind about the removable bit, but also make sure the saw you buy is deep enough for the length of the lug stud.

You can cut the swedge with an 11/16 hole saw with the center bit removed. Cut thru the drum only. Doug
