Are the current repop throttle cable for a 69 b body 4 barrel any good? I know there has been some problems in the past. Where is the best source.

I bought a repop six pack throttle cable a few years back that last for about 10 minutes before the end broke off.
I bought another one from Frank Badalson that is a quality piece.

I bought one from Jaime at Mega Parts last year, it was the stainless steel version and so far all good. Seems quality.

Well I just got off the phone with frank and he said all the repop cables come from the same source. He was out of stock.

I bought my throttle cable for my A12 RR a number of years ago from Imperial Services. No issues.

Currently there are 2 manufacturers unless Imperial Services is still in business. I have the stainless one in stock. They come with the pedal plug and firewall grommet.

Well, I probably should have bought parts from mega parts, but I bought an Imperial Services product. I ordered online because that’s all you can do. After I ordered, they said three weeks to make and ship. After four, I tried to contact them at all numbers and emails. I kept getting no response or invalid email response. I finally contacted PayPal because they darn sure charged my credit card the first day. Steve finally responded giving multiple excuses and he had the stuff to build my parts and get it out the next day, if I would stop the PayPal dispute. He did offer a refund. Against my better judgement, I stopped the dispute. I did receive the part several days later, thankfully. We did politely exchange emails and I told him he might make more money building parts if he would have better contact information and answer the phone. With several excuses, he basically said he did not have time and it was not worth the effort. Maybe he needs to give up making parts if he does not have time, methinks. I think I’ll spend money for someone else’s parts. It slowed the delivery on my customers car by several weeks because of this.
