I’ve got two hoses. One I bought new for my 70 Cuda 340 with the federal pump. It has a female fitting on the steering box end that screws into the normal male flare fitting that appears on all of the steering boxes I have laying around from 66-71 cars. Im not sure where I came up with the other NOS hose but it is exactly the same shape except for the end that screws into the box. It is a male end that requires an o ring fitting. I’ve taken out the male fitting of a 70 box and the threads are the same but it just does not look like it is made for an o ring type hose. I have one 73 cuda that looks like it may have the same type of hose but it is stuffed in to a place with not much room to access the hose. Does the 73 up boxes have a different valve on the top to accept a o ring hose?

I will look at some valve bodies we have on a shelf. I know there was a change, but can't answer your question. It does look like a flare fitting vice o-ring though. Good one up

The '73 FSM shows threaded hole rather than a male flare fitting.
