I use them (PPP brand) on my AMC stock eliminator car with no problems. Has a Bullet racing cam. My spring pressures are not very high. About 60 runs on them.

Yes they can. I have one set that I am currently using on the fifth different cam in two different engines......and still going currently @ 170# seat and 400# open.

I do have bushed lifter bores.....I think one thing that gets people in trouble with current .904 lobes (and corresponding rates of lift) is not correcting lifter bore locations. In the old days of .842 and maybe a .875 lobe, one could get away with a slightly off lifter bore location combined with the lower spring pressures required with a slower rate of lift.

mine don't have the holes and I don't have pushrod oiling.....no experience with pushrod oiling combined with flat tappet other than stock stuff.

What does the coating look like? The ones I have look normal but used and all were turning nice. Looking to use in a street Hemi engine, cams around .500 lift (cams never been run). Maybe dual spring with damper

Not sure what the coating looks like BUT you would be able to tell if it had the coating, Trend is where I got mine, you better REALLY think about using those on a street car, TRUST ME !!!!

The coated lifters are DLC coating, so it's quite obvious if they're coated or not.

Mine has the EDM oil hole. AMC's are pushrod oiled normally.

They are uncoated but highly polished to an almost mirror finish.

Maybe I've been lucky, but I have ran them in 2 street cars for several years now. A 500" wedge and a 540" Hemi. So far, so good.

shruggy

Thats great, Have you actually looked at the cam lobes lately , I had NO lash change, just the nose of the cam was going away
