Had a brake light bulb burn out on my 1971 Roadrunner, and when trying to replace the bulb, the spring within the socket is shot. Even with a new bulb it won’t light up because of the lack of contact. How do I go about replacing the socket or removing the housing?

I don't remember how, but I had the same problem and I think somehow, I was able to replace the spring. You may have to un solder the wire to replace the spring, then re solder it.

Have to pull the bumper to get to the housing and sockets.
