I made it to the track for the first time in almost two years this weekend. No new best or anything but I did drive it to work, the track, and home with zero trouble so I can't complain, I know what I need to work on now!

When the Covid stuff hit the track was closed for a bit but when it re opened it did so with Digital Time Slips and no paper slips. This was the first time I had raced since they did this and its better than I thought it would be. You simply download the app(free). It then updates just a few seconds after each run, you can see anybody's time slip and you can also search for car numbers to make it easier to find your own. It also has a way to check weather conditions and it puts them on your time slip.

Today a friend of mine was at the track and he sent me his number and I was able to check the app to see what his runs were from home. Anybody else's track doing this?

See pic, I am car 129X, not super happy with a 10.78 but for the conditions and running full weight(3630!) I am happy with getting it back home in one piece after some nightmare leak issues have kept me away from the track.

Come on Cab. Make the jump to the smartphone. You will love it. But I do miss the days of the time card. (The ones written in ink for longevity, so they didn't fade away in a couple of years.)

....can think of a couple tracks with sketchy cell signal. It’s kind of like relying on the technology for lane calls. When it works... GREAT! ....but I have yet for it to gain my trust in Vegas or Bakersfield when they use it for certain races.

Thank you, I don't even own a trailer so this thing gets driven to and from. I certainly don't get to enjoy the overdrive and AC like you do though, I just sweat my rear off and plug up traffic on the highway running 62MPH at 3500RPM.

It has been a 1.412 60ft before in better air with a 10.54 best ET. Race weight then was 80lbs less than current.

Piedmont Dragway near me has very bad, sometimes non-existent cell coverage.

But if that gets fixed (maybe the track put in a repeater or something for a Wifi signal), I would welcome the digital timeslip. But I didn't get my first cell phone until I was getting ready to retire in 2016.

The Mopar race there is always a good time. I got lucky and won in 2016, 2017, and R/U in 2018. The car was apart in 2019 and I raced my Jeep, it didn't go so well lol trying to dial that thing was like choosing lottery numbers.
