The buildsheets that were supposedly destroyed in a fire; was that ever confirmed? That was the story that has been told for a long time. When I contacted Chrysler historical a few years back they did state that records from 68 on up were destroyed. For all we know they could very well be in some dark corner or room somewhere.
I was being sarcastic.
It's an old wives' tale: Definitely was no "fire". There would be a record of it with local Fire Department. I can't believe no one has ever questioned that
slight little detail.

Some Ignorant "paperwork collector" has all of it somewhere. Or, maybe not: there should also be duplicate paperwork at Chrysler Corporation Head office for legality circumstances such as recalls, cause of a death, or if one of their '70 318 Challengers is used in/for a crime.

I don't buy any of their excuses of missing records for cars that are worth 10 to 50 times their original value..........but, then again, that's the reason they can't "find" anything: because they are not making any money out of it.
