I believe Mopar made several different bellhousing that would work, some with just the 3 speed bolt pattern and some with both the 3 and 4 speed bolt patterns , as well as some that had only the 4 speed pattern confused shruggy
I looked up one used in 1965 only for 3 speeds (According to Galens manual, not sure if it has both patterns or not confused) The casting number should be 2468450, it is for the 10.5 inch clutch only. It is cast iron. There are several other 3 speed only in his book for the Max Wedge cars in 1962,1963, they are 2402219, aluminum, for 1963 426 Stage 2, 2402221 for 1963 426 M.W aluminum for T85 trans only, 2402683 cast iron for 361 and 383, all with the 10.5 inch clutches only.
IHTHs luck
I think the 230 trans was a medium duty in the BB, the T85 was a one year only also I think. I'm not sure on any of this information as I never have had a BB with
a 3 speed stick tranny shruggy

I parted out a '70 Newport four-door with a three on the tree and a 383. It used the common 2892513 bellhousing. I can't remember what transmission was behind it.

Do you still have the 3 speed transmission from it.

I can't remember if I saved it or not. After all it was just a three speed and I was much younger and stupider. Today I would keep it, then....... If I did keep it, finding it would be right up there with the immaculate conception. Sorry.

John, I THINK it did but this was about 1974 and the memory is foggy about more things than this that happened at that time!!!

Just Google "2892513 bellhousing" and there are numerous pictures of what the multiple patterns look like. As to reproductions, contact Brewers, I think they handled them at one time.

Here's a pic of a SB bell with both the 230 and 833 bolt pattern.

I ask this at brewer`s and got great info. I have trans with 5,125 front retainer dia and no bb bellhousing for that size. In this case fix is change retainer for their new 4.354 size retainer. thanks.
