Anybody know why I would have a Edelbrock intake( fit horribly by the way) on my 360
But few gallons of gasket sealer LOL and a bunch of Hail Marys it didn't leak

Slap on a brand new Edelbrock 600 CFI carburetor

Then the Edelbrock aftermarket air filter doesn't fit on top of it, why the hell would that be? anybody else have this problem too?

Or recommend spacer

You need Edelbrock 1221 air cleaner to clear an Edelbrock carb with electric choke. If you have the 1207 air cleaner you need a spacer or a banjo fitting for manual choke.

The only Carbs I care about are under the hood!

You can use a drop base air cleaner with an electric choke Edelbrock but it can be no more than 3/4" drop. Any more then that and the base will hit the electric choke. I modified a 1" drop base to fit on mine but it was a lot of work and I also had to modify the air filter as well. On my setup, hood clearance is limited and I don't like the look of short air filters.

Oh I see!...so I won't need a spacer with it! I guess I had the 1207. Great info thanks
