Comic book character. I never had any clue about the connection between
Zippy and the mascot of one of my favorite bands of all time (the Ramones)
Who Would Trot out this masked character at the end of one of their signature songs.

Checked out the movie that brought Schlitzie the most fame as well (“Freaks”), really clear influence to the Band,
It all makes sense now. I had been told about schlitzie and freaks before but couldn’t find any info on them until recently.

I was told about him + the movie Freaks years (like decades) ago, then totally forgot as there weren't too many ways to research things at that point in time.

Came back around to it, looked at all that and it was like my whole 1980s world exploded LOL
