The LAPD ran 383-4bbl Belvederes at that time, essentially 4-door Road Runners.
Absolutely loved hearing those guys on a chase !
(Which they seemed to do quite often...)

LAPD Officers loved them too, and were not happy when they switched AMC, hence the quick return to Chryslers.

I love all these types of brochures, and have some from late 60's thru the Diplomat
Gran Fury of '89, and then a bit more on the 5.7 Chargers.


Facts are stubborn things.

Even Adam 12 looked unhappy in their AMC season.
