I'm curious what car some of you would just have to pull the trigger on, even if you really shouldn't spend the money now, or don't have the room for, etc. I have four cars. Two of the newer era (5.7's, all the creature comforts), and two older ones to fill those needs ('89 Diplomat AHB stroked 360 and my '79 Power Wagon). So I don't have room for anything else, nor do I need to be spending money, insurance, tags, etc. BUT, if the right (and I know it's getting less and less likely) '77/'78 Fury/Monaco A38/440 comes along I'm going to do my best to pull the trigger. Reasons: I've always wanted to own something with a 440. What Mopar fanatic hasn't. Granted, this isn't the ultimate year for 440, but it's still an hp and very respectable 440 with beefy parts. Secondly, I always thought these cars were really cool, and remember seeing the FHP cruising I-95 when I was a little kid, sometimes at triple digits.
Facts are stubborn things.

I would have to make room but a copy of one of these would do it....

So this pretty much happened to me a year and a half ago; As a kid a Valiant drag car used to go past my parents house every Friday on its way to the races and I loved it. I didn't know who or where it was from but it always went by and I always watched for it. Then in the mid eighties it went by with a for sale sign and at time I had no money (20-21 yrs old) . Then in '87 I went to the local drag strip that had just reopened after several years of closure and there it was. After a period of time I became friends with the new owner which led to becoming friends with the original owner as they were both long time friends. Anyway a lot of time had/has past and the second owner says he is going to sell the car but he is reserving it for the original owners (since passed) two sons. Turned out they were not interested in the car and with no need nor plans I bought it just because it was the first race car I thougt was cool. Future plans are to put a paint job and wheels as it was in the late seventies and put a blower on it and do some AA/G stuff. First pic is from the '80s, Second is from the mid '90s to present and last is from the late '70s

I was lucky enough to get mine, my '68 Valiant. Fell in love with it first time Mike brought it to RT 66 in 98. Bought it in 2017.

This belong to a friend of my 85 year old father.
I am hoping to get a shot at it.
I am not rich...but I get off my ass everyday to make sure I am not broke!
Can we get the Mexican cartels to help us with our supply chain issues? They don't seem to have any trouble getting stuff from one place to another.

Those are cool for sure i thought getting in and out of a Lotus was a pain, I'm too old and fat for this "Climbing inside a Cheetah takes the dexterity of a lizard. You have to simultaneously hold the featherweight gullwing door up over your head, climb over the impossibly wide and fragile door sill, and get your legs past the large diameter steering wheel and into the painfully small pedal box, which is radically offset to the left.
