Is now FCA branding their own oil ? ... oil filters too ?

Mopar/SRT have had their label oil filters for quite a while. The oil has been Pennzoil PUP. If Mopar has went to Mopar/SRT labeled oil, then that is new.

Do what you want, but the Pennzoil Ultra Premium is the only oil that I am aware of that FCA has tested to meet their MS-12633 standards. That doesn't mean it's any better, just that it is approved for warranty.

And why would you pay $10 for an FCA approved oil filter and then save a few bucks on unapproved oil?

Did you read those threads from Hellcat.org? This subject has been repeatedly beat to death over there.

But ... supposedly the V oil is that 12633 spec !

One screen shot shows the FCA approval for the Valvoline. So, maybe so.

No luck at the big Wally World - seems it’s only available from dot com. Couldn’t sign up an account so I had the assistant manager order it .... it should be here Monday.... 80$ delivered to my door ...,

NAPA has the Pennzoil 0W-40 on sale this month for about $6 quart. Probably not in the store but they can get it in about 2 days.
