I got my hands a set of used big block springs and retainers recently. The problem is one retainer has a serious flaw and needs to be replaced. Heck, this thing shouldn't have even been shipped and I'm surprised it didn't split. All the retainers are stamped "63" on the top and the retainer's dimensions are close to Crane retainer 99963. Anyone have a set of the Crane 99963 retainers that are stamped "63"? I'd call Crane, but Crane is dead.

I think I'll just take this bad retainer and my dial calipers down to the engine parts place and come up with something close. I may need to take a valve and locks to make sure the installed height isn't too far off.
