How much does it weigh? Honestly that's not bad at all...

Pretty good times for what you have. That is a heavy truck.
What rpm are you leaving at?
I would want to know what cam you actually have.
While a stroker crank will help tremendously,I would look at a set of ported heads(you did'nt say what yours are)and then maybe a cam swap.
Are you sure about your compression?

oh yeah the most important part heads...they are smog 360 heads with 2.02/1.60 valves and they have been cut .010 i was told the motor is a touch over 10:1 CR

i was told the cam is a general kinetics with roughly 470 lift the previous owner built the engine and did not remember the cam specs exactly but it lopes hard

as far as weight goes im guessing 3600 without me in it but i have not yet weighed it

recently i bought a set of magnum heads with a street port by best machine the bigger 1.97/1.62 valves with 1.6 ratio roller rockers and the mopar single plane high rise magnum intake for $550

Magnum heads are a nice upgrade.I would stick with a dual plane.Heavy vehicles with a single plane lose too much low end and midrange torque. You may have the gears for the track but it will be a dog at part throttle on the street.

i got the top end as a package deal. i may try to get another air gap but I am considering one of those $1300 stroker rotating assembly's

Def. a cam swap for sure...get one of the heads flowed and have a cam made...What is your fuel system like

My truck is similar but a 78 with no power anything...when i had a n/a engine with auto in it this was my combo and it ran 13.0's consistantly and 12.9's on occation
360-.40 over 8:1 cast pistons w/unported x-heads/ edel tranula single plane junk intake/750dp/mallory 140 with 3/8 fuel line and stock gas tank with a 3/8 pickup
cam similar to .508 purle but made by racer brown
-i went from the .508 purple to a custom cam and went from 13.3's consitantly to 13.0's all the time
83/4 with 3.91's
a fuel system can make a big difference also..along with the tune you have
How much timing and jet are you running also

78 Adventurer 150small block turbo'd 360w/Borg S475....smoke'em
