Hi all,

I am intrigued by the new trick flow heads and was going to add a little bit of power to my slightly warmed up 383. It has a mild cam, headers, EFi, just a fun little car. I have used a lot of stealth heads in the past on other big blocks and loved the results. I was thinking about picking up a set of stealths until I read all the info on the trick flow heads. I know grass isn't alway greener but what are people thinking about the trickflow heads for a mild build?

I have both the stealth's and the trick flows. The trick flows 240 were worth a good 2 tenths in the 1/4 mile for my race car that has a fairly mild engine. (440 stock stroke, 11:1, .557 solid camshaft, Victor intake) compared to the hand ported stealth I was running. Went from 10.90s to 10.70's, but went a best of 10.49 in REALLY good air with the trick flows. The stealth heads take stock rocker arms, and pushrods. When going to the trick flows you may or may not need new rockers depending on which rockers you are currently using (I am using Crane Golds). The pushrod is longer when using the trick flow heads as well. (About 3/4" in my setup). I have a RB in an Abody so with the trick flow heads the driver side valve cover is fairly tight with the master cylinder so removing it takes a little extra care. Best bang for the buck performance goes to Trick Fow. Looking for a stock replacement alum head that is an upgrade to iron heads go with the stealth.
