real quick guys, its a honda but i figure all trannys are similar. I have a 5 speed manual trans that pops out of second gear just crusing.... synchro spring? or synchro sleeve? thanks

Probably a combo of a few things,second gear clutching teeth take a real beating and so does the slider/syncro.I would change the gear,all the brass and the slider.

My 833 was doing this and when I took it apart to rebuild it the syncro was actually broke in two pieces.

I've also seen this happen when the mechanism isn't adjusted properly. My buddy had a ton of problems and we found out his stops weren't letting the shifter go far enough for the detent ball to fall into place
