Car impounded 7 days and same for DL? eek Driver likely has a few driving skills and might want to get a competition license while he stays off the road cooling his right foot.

I'm sure a few here have done the same, just were never caught, and weren't in Canada, me, no comment.

191.3 mph for the metrically challenged. Interesting that is the same as the 192 Vette last week.

Google says a C55 Mercedes is not all that. Maybe 150. That extra 40MPH would be tough unless it had been worked on. I'm thinking the cop cheated. Would they really do that?

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

On the Digital readout, what does the "483.x M" indicate?

Maybe they were reading fan blade speed?

A friend of mine has an 04 or 05 E55 AMG and its only supposed to go 155 per the factory limiter but it has zero trouble getting to that number.

Probably federal. Maybe Canada is different.

Not federal or Canada . . . believe all "non european" MB are limited to 150 or 155mph . . . easy enough to program limiter off . . . but that 190mph would sure be total top end, all in . . FEETS would probably have better idea on that . . . but man, best to do on track ! . . .

My seat of the pants guess it takes nearly double the HP to go from 155 to 192mph.

It's probably nothing a tuner couldn't have done.
Some european cars for Canada are actually european spec and not based on US requirements but it is usually more limited run cars. BMW used to do that a lot.

OK, I get it, the kid was speeding, cars passing the pulled over offender were beeping, etc.
I git bored, couldn't finish the video.
But how exactly did the LEO catch and pull over the 190+mph speeder?

Back in the early 70's, I attended a rock concert venue called the Hollywood Sportatorium. It was west of the city of Hollywood, Fla on a single 2 lane Hwy. Traffic post concerts was always horrendous. The few cross roads on the main highway were miles apart, having only stop signs.

So I left the concert with my date in my hot rod bright red 62 Polara 500. Traffic was heavy and moving under the speed limit. There was no oncoming traffic.

So I pulled into the passing lane, and started passing miles of traffic. I noticed others behind me got the idea and pulled out also. After a few miles I notice the cars behind are starting to pull back in for reasons unknown to me.

Well it was a LEO in the passing lane. He pulled me over. Read me the riot act.

I held my ground as well as teenager could in a red hot rod, "but I wasn't breaking any laws"

Many of the passing cars jeered.

He finally gave me a warning for having red over spray on my tag light, and let me go.

Not sure who the joke was really on?

Not sure what you mean by this. Canada's emissions standards are whatever U.S. emissions standards are (why reinvent the wheel !) Our safety requirements are also the same. NO exceptions. If you import a vehicle that doesn't meet those standards it cannot be licensed PERIOD. HOWEVER, anything older than 15 years is exempt - hence all the mini trucks that are showing up from Japan and such.

I'm guessing the 483.8 M is the distance he was clocked in. In other words he didn't just blip the throttle for an instant !!

That's pretty good guess that I can't argue with, however according to the LEO on the video, that would be only approx 1.5 secs at 192mph.

Car is a C63, totally different animal but still not sure it packs enough punch for 191mph (speed limited to 155 only in Germany, all of them, or at least it use to be like that)

Exactly what I said. There are some differences which is why some imports make it into Canada and not into the US. It's not people importing it's the car manufacturers. It happens a lot less now then 10-20 years ago but you still see it on occasion.
