Hello
would someone please school me on the Hemicuda power steering pump? I have a 70 Hemicuda that was born with manual steering. Around 20 or so years ago I installed a power steering unit out of a E body with a Saginaw pump. Lately I am detailing and fixing some small items that were not correct, so I learned that the correct unit used on Hemi cars was the Federal pump, with a special hose, fitted with a 90 degrees adapter on the steering box.
If I want to use the correct Federal pump in place of the existing Saginaw, any pump meant for a BB Chrysler would be correct? I understand the pulley is different....where are the differences? ANd what about the power steering hose and the 90 degrees fitting? Can something be found? Thank you for the help

Yes Big Block bracket. Reproduction and originals can be found on Ebay. The pulley also is now reproduced. Different offset and pulley Dia. The reproduction probably the only one you will find easy.

What lower crankshaft pulley do you have? The belt will be 5/8". Angled fitting reproduced, but hose may be harder to find. Not sure on E body version, but B body very rare/expensive. But hose company can make a suitable alternative.

Thank you for your reply Dragon Slayer. Have found a good Federal pump in my junk...will change the pulley, restore and use it.
