The '87 Ramcharger should have the same one. I checked 3 Rams and 1 Ramcharger at the local yard yesterday, years ranged from 87-93. NONE were the same as mine. They all had a single molded plug and different terminal layout, and mounted right in the cowl. Mine mounts on top the heater box. I also checked a couple mid 80s Fifth Aves, also different. The only car at that yard that might have one the same as mine was an 80 Volare. I would've had to disassemble half the dash to get to it and I didn't bring enough tools with me to do so.
Nothing to see here. Carry on.

Other than Ebay, I've checked Arizona Parts and Brad's NOS. Any other NOS sellers I should check into? I'm guessing this is my only choice, unless I can find a working used one.

How bad do you want one? A quick ebay check shows one, for a mere $100 simoleons. For that I might go pull the one out of my '85.
Edit Just noticed your location, is yours a/c or non a/c?
Either way, the ebay one is listed with that number.

I did see that one ebay today as well. I'm gonna take a chance on one for a 79-85 van. Looks identical to mine but a different part#. Best part? Only $30 and being shipped from Ontario only a few hours away from me. Fingers crossed it does the job or I might have to pony up for that $100 one. Well I got a call back about 10 minutes later...already sold. Website just wasn't updated. Darn!

Close. I should've taken my topside pic on more of an angle. On the left there are two horizontal terminals, and one vertical. They all plug into one plug. The terminal to the right has a single wire going to it.

looks the same one that's been in my '81,85,85,87,88,89,and '91. behind the glove box door on the heater. The oldest one I could find in a local yard was an 87. It mounted directly in the cowl as opposed to in the heater box. It also had I think 5 or 6 terminals that connected to a single molded plug. Mine has a 3 terminal plug and one single one. I should just pick one of them up from the yard and try it just for giggles. Pop my terminals out of the plug and to make a newer one work. A guy on a facebook group has also success soldering in a new diode on his with good results. Maybe I'm just being a cheapskate, but $80-100+ for an NOS one is a hard pill to swallow for me.

If something is slightly different... Why take the resistor coils from the new part and solder onto your present part. Pretty straight forward.. The other solution would be to jumper over your present defective resistor coils so now the full 12V is connected, U will lose the (2) lower speeds but still have the fast speed. Just my $0.02...

Currently have a line on a used one, and a couple sources for NOS ones. My current one does still work...on high only. I think I've got this squared away. I'm just getting back into the hobby after a 10+ year hiatus. I guess I've got a bit of sticker shock when it comes to NOS prices. My old girl will just take a little longer to source parts for than it used to. Thanks for all the help everyone! Get ready, sticker shock is a new daily experience. The next thing your going to learn is that quality no longer exists, and just because a part is new, that doesn't mean the part is good! Old cars and trucks are fun they say....Have fun. Gene
