Since last Friday my website traffic has almost exactly doubled and my conversion rate is cut in half. Which would make me think its a bunch of people looking but not really Mopar gaskets/parts buyers. Like a BUNCH of people looking for Cheby wheels or something. It is kind of odd I've been getting a few (more than usual) phone calls for wheels, steering wheels, radios, hood latches, etc. Parts we don't make or carry but are kinda related. Looks like the traffic is mostly organic and not CPC. Only thing I can think of is Google Shopping announce that they are offering their service fro free because of Covid 19. i started to setup my Google Shopping but what a PIA.. So I don't think its that.

Any nefarious ideas?

I checked with my SAS ecommerce store provider and my online credit card processor and they said all looks well.

I know there is a TON of "scraping" going on now. You'd have to be a fairly unsophisticated buyer to fall for a "scraped" site but the scammers have nothing better to do. one Australian Mopar parts website put on their homepage alerting buyers to this problem and to make sure they are on the correct website. Not one that ends in .ru

I swear, with all the dishonestly, and like I tell my kids "there are more of THEM than there are of us", the future looks crappy.

Before this damn Kung Flu I considered just wholesale and Mopar shows. But doesn't look like us old guys will be eager to do Mopar shows for years if ever.

Do you have Google Analytics embedded in your site? That'll certainly tell you where a chunk of the traffic is originating from.
