Ah, that crappy OEM stuff... ![laugh2 laugh2](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/laugh2.gif) Just saw an article where some parts supplier has actually screwed up replacement SBC mounts. I guess they couldn't find one of the billion or so examples to properly clone... (RE: your other thread, buddy, get that nausea checked out)

If you didn't have a lead foot they'd have lasted you longer! ![laugh laugh](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/laugh.gif) What a PITA, and I hate non OEM stuff.

well if his 3.9 is like the 3.9 in my 99, it is so doggy that you have to floor it to move.... and then it still will barely get out of its own way.... Is it fast? No, but it's not as slow as ya'll make it out to be. Maybe I got lucky? ![shruggy shruggy](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/shruggy.gif) I ordered a different set of motor mounts and they are wider than the last set I ordered that were too wide. ![mad mad](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/mad.gif) This is one of those time I wish I knew how to weld. ![frowwn frowwn](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/frowwn.gif)

Well, I got the mounts in. What a royal PITA the drivers side was. ![flame flame](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/flame.gif) Unlike the previous week however, not the slightest bit of nausea, and I was under the truck for about 9 hrs total over the course of two days. Did I mention the drivers side was a royal PITA? ![catfight catfight](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/catfight.gif) In addition to the exercises the Doc gave me, two things I did differently this time around was lift the whole truck up so I wasn't looking at things at an angle, and put something under my head so it wasn't tilted so far back. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/fveWpM5.jpg) Did I mention the drivers side was a royal PITA? ![eyes eyes](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/eyes.gif) Despite the drivers side mount being a royal PITA, I still like this truck. Look past the dents and surface rust on the roof, the truck has NO rot anywhere. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/hriTyrp.jpg) I wish my wagon was as rust free. ![popcorn popcorn](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/popcorn.gif)

I think your exceeding the weight rating on those death ramps under the back tires. I stopped using those years ago when one bent with a Royal Monaco on it. Was working on my workbench when I heard a BONG.

"Death ramps" ![confused confused](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/confused.gif) Me personally, the only time I've seen bad stuff happen with them is when you actually try to drive on/off them. In the 25+ yrs I've owned mine, I've only used them as you see here and I've had all kinds of vehicles on them. That being said though, I always use them on the end opposite of where I'm working. ![popcorn popcorn](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/popcorn.gif)

My 300 flattened one once, when I was driving up it. Had for years prior to that occurring, never again will I trust that design.

I know the feeling, John. ![wink wink](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/wink.gif) Mine has fought me every step of the way on this swap. I am headed out side now to finish installing the a/c lines and charge it up. ![luck luck](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/luck.gif) Tim

I think your exceeding the weight rating on those death ramps under the back tires. Looks like the left side is already starting to collapse.

" My 300 flattened one once, when I was driving up it" As I said, the only time I've seen issues was when driving on or off. Did I mention the drivers side mount was a PITA? ![work work](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/work.gif) And, no, neither ramp was on the verge of collapsing under the weight of my Dakota. ![runaway runaway](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/runaway.gif)

I have 13 letters in my last name, I don't want to disprove the theory that it only happens driving on or off.
I have posted pics with these ramps in them over the years and this is the first time they have caused such an issue. I guess isolation is getting to some people? I appreciate everyone's concern, really, but geez........ And I never said they can't collapse from a car just sitting on them, I just said I've never seen it. Kinda surprised no one has made comments about how the front is supported.
