Mine is expiring 3/31/20.
Not sure if I want to wait or let it go for now.
I think they only give you a certain time before you lose your number.

Who else is postponing or letting their Competition license expire?

I'm just ticked about the time on my 5 pt. harness that I paid for and won't get to use.

I dropped my NHRA licence years ago but keep my IHRA current. I will have NHRA chassis cert on my heads up car when I see it getting closer to us racing. And I'm holding off on one maybe two sets of belts.

Just noticed it went up to $245.00 for 2 years now. From I believe $215.00, a few years ago.
Just not sure when these tracks will open and I need belts too and a chassis certification.
So getting hit with all 3 at one time.
And I'm now out of Q16.

To answer your question, mine also expired on the 31st and I am waiting to renew... I've heard people submitted and no one is there to process.... So I am in no rush.

That was my thought exactly but who's sending out the emails to tell us they want our $$$?

Just reread my email.
NHRA says they will only hold my number for 60 days.
Are they bluffing or will I really lose it after 60 days if I dont renew my license?
Not sure what this season will hold..

Got the email that mine is to expire 5/31/20 so I sent in the check for the renewal. No one has cashed the check for going on 3 weeks now. When they open they will have it. My chassis cert also expires at the same time but I'll run it without it if no one is doing the inspections.

Our IHRA cert was supposed to be two weeks ago at keystone but that of course was canceled. My NHRA inspector will come to your house and charge their fee plus mileage. This works out great right in your own shop.

Hmmm..... when was the last time they even asked about a comp license? Think for me it was March Meet a few years ago.

Not sure what this season will hold..

The more important question, will they make you retake certification passes to get your driver ratings back? 2 months, 4 months, don't expire?

FWIW, I just renewed my IHRA license for 2-years, $160. It had expired this month (April).

IMO, they will only reserve it for 60 days if yours expires. But if nobody claims your number before you reapply, you will get it back.

I just renewed mine. They need the money....and I don't want to have to qualify for it again...so renewing was a no-brainer.

I just renewed my Advanced Et license(requires a physical) before all this started, also a new window net, chassis sticker as well were due. Ran the Tucson divisional so it was all needed but now no idea when we will get back to it. Does anyone think NHRA will care? New belts and fresh cert on the transmission in the dragster as well for the MATS that didn't happen...
