Hey Gang..

Just picked up an window motor for my 69 Hemi Charger 500.. Wanted to try a new one first since the old ones are, well, 50 years old... How in the heck do I take the gear and pinion off the motor head shaft? The new motor doesn't come with it...

Thanks in advance..

There is a snap ring on the shaft that the gear is on. If you look at the one without the gear you will see where it goes.

I 100% agree and was looking for it.. You have to get the gear out of the way first or something...

Its been years since Ive had one of these opened up. And my memory is getting foggy.
But I think once the plate is removed the gear slides up and off

First step if it were me would be to clean the grime off so I could get a better look at it.

It is clean enough to be able to see if there's any clips and/or fasteners... thumbs

The C Body article is great. More info, there is a Dorman kit that provides new plastic "pucks" instead of the nuts mentioned.
They can be difficult to install. A trick is to freeze the center metal gear and pucks, and heat (moderately, like a 300 degree oven) the outer ring, then the parts will fit together much easier.
