Hey everyone. Quick question. Sorry If this has been answered before. I for the life of me could not find a definitive answer anywhere. I am working with a 2005 Ram 5.7 Hemi. Which water pump heater hose fitting is the inlet and which is the outlet? One is a machined fitting closer to the engine, and the other is a steel tube closer to the fan blade. Both on the passenger side of the engine. Thank you for any help you can provide...

My 1997 Jeep TJ Wrangler seems to have the input through the heater core on the bottom 5/8” tube and output is the top 3/4” tube. I am thinking the 5.7 Hemi truck water pump output tube is the steel line and the input is the screw in adapter right above the lower radiator hose. I am going to connect them this way and see what happens. I’ll just need to adapt the Jeep’s 3/4” heater core output down to the Hemi’s 5/8” input at the water pump...
