has a e body pistol grip shifter but mounted on the front mount with b body rods. Maybe someone had it in a 1971 B-body with a bench seat? Again, a photo would help.

that is 23-spline correct? everything looks typical for a '70 B-body except for the E-body "pistol-grip" the shifter looks aftermarket with the adjustable stops, but does look to have the reverse lever for a 1970 B-body "pistol-grip", is it stamped " 7174"?

Ma did use the shifter box with stops in early cars.My 65 has one Hurst Super.Been there for the 50 years Ive owned it and was OE when I bought the car.Better than the cheaper boxes they used later. They also had a bolt on stick.have a 71 pistol grip I modded to bolt to my box.Rocky

Not a 70B, all levers are longer in 70. Shifter looks like the 71 up B&E.

What does the mounting plate look like. What are the numbers on the flat rectangular pieces of metal at the ends of the rods that bolt onto the transmission. Looks like someone might of had some problems and bought some aftermarket shifter or parts to use and tossed some OEM parts.
