The object is to mill the Edelbrock and other letters off of an RPM airgap and paint it. Have you used a bridge port or dremel or both and then blasted it?

What works?

I'd like to hear how this has come out for some of you.

The way I do it is to grind the letters off with a carbide burr, then hit it with a sand roller so its flush with the rest of the intake and then blast the manifold with steel shot.

I just take a die grinder or an angle grinder, knock down the lettering, then use a scaler to duplicate the casting texture.
Then I prime & paint & enjoy my sneakiness !

Dremel off and needle scaler to resurface. Paint.

A buddy went as far as grinding an Eldy 440 Alumimn clean and used JB Weld to make a pad and then carved the iron 440 manifolds part number on it. Painted, at a fast glance it looked legit.

I used an angle grinder to remove the logos off of an old CH4B, and then used a hammer and punch to duplicate the raw cast surface. Its basically what the needle gun does, but 1000X slower. Its a small area so it really doesn't take long.

Here is my old post asking the same thing: https://board.moparts.org/ubbthread...market-intake-look-stock.html#Post286140

carefully grind smooth and then media blast so the surface looks like the rest of the intake, easy as pie
