Does anyone know of an online source or downloadable product to check the mechanics hours to remove and replace (R&R) parts for 60's, 70's, 80's vehicles?
Thanks,
Ron

We use Auto Labor Experts used to be called Real Time Labor Guide. Although we generally don't work on anything that old at my shop it is on there and has coverage for most every application from cars to heavy trucks. Keep in mind that this is just a reference guide we have found somethings on there they estimate way too low and some way to high so you have to use some common sense just like in anything. Hope that helps you.twocents

I bought one of them off ebay a few years ago . it was pretty cheap, cost more to ship it than the book cost

Not sure if I still have it

trust me, they would not be applicable as they assume the cars are newer, non -rusted, haven't been hacked on, and that the parts areadily available. I had a customer several years ago tell me that my quote was out of line per the Oldsmobile flat rate guide. I told him to take it to an Oldsmobile dealer LOL beer

I was involved in one of those labor time studies when I worked for a dodge dealer. Car was brand new and I had the parts and tools laid out before we stated the timing. That is the reason mechanics hate those things.
