Three old pictures I took of a white 1970 Plymouth Hemicuda Convertible in October 1982 at the Car Craft Street Machine Nationals in Pomona, CA and May 1983 at Sacramento, CA.

Was a LONG time ago . But me and a friend of mine visited a shop where a white on white hemi cuda convertible was being restored.

And Ive not heard a word about it since. And that had to be maybe 30 years ago . So long I dont remember where the shop was . But my gut tells me it had to be in the tri state - KY , Indiana ,Ohio area

Anyone know about it. Was it real , where is it today

It's a real car, and it is in Ohio, and owned by a nice, "down to earth" guy. There was an article about it which told about all the original paperwork that was found in the old files of the dealership it was sold at. It came from the factory with black interior. I tried buying it throughout the years, but it's not for sale.

Back in the late 80's or early 90's, the owner of this car called me looking for some small items for the car as it was being restored - the guy was from Ohio as I recall. I know that he bought a rear license assembly & a fuel filler neck from us - we had some mint pieces from Southwest cars. There may have been a few other small items he bought from us - I can't remember. Cool old photos - thanks for posting them. Wow - what a car!

I'm not sure the early '80s pics taken in CA are of the same '70 hemi'cuda from Ohio

in the early '80s the Ohio car was being raced with a blown HEMI on propane, the then & still owner is in the gas business
(IIRC late-'80s early-'90s restoration made its debut at one of the NORWALK, OH Chrysler Classic events)

the above shown at MCACN EW1 '70 hemi'cuda & the no-longer-in-existence (1 of 1) '70 HEMI 4-speed Road Runner convertible were sold new from:

Dan, you are correct. The one at the Sacramento show was a 1970 cuda 383 automatic that was B5 blue and I think blue interior originally. I was there at the show and at the time didn't know what I was looking at. Several years later while I was in search of a cuda convertible I ran across it. A guy I know bought it for the engine and front sheet metal. It had the fender tag. I passed on it because it must have been it a front end accident. To repair the car at the time someone cut the front frame rails off near the fire wall and welded on another front clip. The repair was just horrible..

Was that show held at Cal Expo?? I was at that show too ... I just don't remember seeing this car there. Now I wonder what the heck I was spending my time looking at while I was there!!

Cheers!
