Hello. Are the front parking lights supposed to go out when you turn your headlights on?

Thank you.

yes

my 68 Dart was that way

69 dot rules changed for the turn sig lights to be on with head lights on

when in the park mode it will have front, back and 4 coners marked

I likes the bullet side markers of a 68 any thing...they are just cool

Both my Dad's '67 Valiants had front parking lights off with headlights on. My '68 B'cuda has parking lights remaining on with headlights, as does my '69 Dart. As far as I can tell, '68 was a transition year.

I just took a quick glance at the service manual wiring diagram for the front end lighting on a 68 Charger and compared it to the same front end lighting diagram for the 69 model year Charger. There does not appear to be any discernible difference in the turn sig circuits. Am I reading this wrong? Or is the function to keep parklamps on in 69 found elsewhere?

The only 1968 chrysler cars I've seen that parking lights stay on with headlamps is barracuda only, for some reason. 69 should all stay on with headlights on.
