I have a 65 Barracuda 273 auto. I have a built 340 with 727 that I want to install in the 65. I need suggestions on headers or will Factory 340 HP Manifolds fit ok in the engine bay. Also will a 68 A body 8 3/4 fit in this car? Thanks Guys!

1. The 340 and A727 will fit but you may need to hammer the firewall to floor pinch seam flatter.

2. The 340 manifolds will fit but the drivers side is pointed toward the frame a bit. Headers are slim.

3. Yes it will fit.

Heres a 383 in a 65 B-Cuda

My first car ('65 Valiant) had a '68 cuda 340/727 in it I helped my Dad install, complete with manifolds, exhaust system, and tips. He had to notch the rear valance for the tips. P/S makes it harder so I understand. You can also use Dakota manifolds and I also read where one guy used the manifolds from a mid-90s van, IIRC (probably the same as a Dakota). Tunnel lip is hit or miss (no pun intended grin ). Both my '65s didn't require it but probably easier to do while engine is out of the car, just to be safe. wink
You will need to modify the PS 273 mount for the 340. Link at FABO about it- https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopa...fications-for-340-360-into-early-a.7476/
You already have a V8 center link so you are good there. You will need to modify your shifter or go with a '66-up shifter or aftermarket.

All I can think of off the top of my head. up
