Don't pay a lot of attention to the circus, but I haven't seen anything about him on any of the usual places - Competition Plus, Nitromater, Agent 1320, etc...
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

They dig up their own sponsors and bring their own money. Very few paid drivers anymore.

or did he retire since he lost the Army sponsor? The Arny pulled out of racing after very long time with DSR. My understanding is that they are actively looking for sponsorship and have been since they knew the Army was leaving. I think it did blind side them. However they seem to be holding out for a really big deal, not anything like what Leah does with Mopar, Pennzoil and others. If you remember she had to sit out at least a race or two for no money.

How hard do you think it was for Alan Johnson to have to go work for Force after he lost the Prince's money? Both are smart guys - would suspect Alan set plenty of ground rules going in to avert potential conflicts.

TJ's and Beckman's cars are funded by Doug Chandler, Terry Chandler's widower, as "giving cars" in her memory. Basically donating space and promotion to a couple of worthwhile non-profits.

The Army sponsored Don Prudhomme for many years in the 1970s, maybe they will be back again in the future Ultimately we the tax payers paid for both of those efforts

So the DSR bunch operates and profits handsomely JUST OFF OF sponsor money ?
What kind of money did the Army spend on TSs car ... TJ ? JB ?
Well they sure aren't profiting on NHRA winnings, considering the investment it takes to put ONE fuel car on the road let along multiple cars. DSR also has a revenue stream in the form of a fab shop and parts building. I also have heard that Don has his hands in Nitro distribution as well. I would love to see the books just as much, if not more than the operation itself!
