A friend is looking for the series/group 27 red cap battery tops for his 69 Hemi RR. He's not had the best of luck with the re-pop batteries. I've seen the series 24 battery tops at Year One, but not the larger 12" (only 10 5/16") battery tops. Does anyone know if they are still making the battery tops for series 27 batteries?

I don't think they ever made group 27's just Group 24's.

I had one on my 69 GTX about 10 years ago.
Not sure where it came from, it was on the car when I bought it.

Who makes or made the MoPar repo batteries? I bought one 2 yrs ago and it's went bad.

I cannot find any of the paperwork, I thought I'd left it in the car I put the battery in. I think it came from the Cincinnati area

Tons of posts about the bad quality of repro batteries. I have gutted several and hide light weight racing batteries in them. I have done several my first one is on 5 or 6 years now. Cranks over faster with the smaller batteries than the larger repro battery did. Still look stock when done.
