Hi The exhaust manifolds are off my 440 for a while, so I'd like to repaint them. I had good luck with Eastwood in the past, but the last batch kept flaking off the right side. Both manifolds were prepped the same and the left held up great. Does anyone have a good experience with something similar to Eastwood. Thanks

Perhaps a ceramic coating would work?

My local powder coater has a high heat powder coating they've been using on exhaust manifolds. They claim it holds up very well and it looks nice.
I had them do the 340 manifolds for my Demon...they look good, but haven't been run yet.
I've never had good results from any of the exhaust paint products out there.

1st thing I wonder about with paint problems like this is how clean the surface was.
I make sure the sealing surfaces are straight/flat/true, or use a large belt-sander or blanchard grinder to get that.
Then, degrease and bead-blast, and a good wipe-down with grease & wax remover.
One thing I wonder if some folks overlook is handling with bare hands before painting.

I've used Eastwood's Stainless Steel on many manifolds & headers and it's held up very well.
Not strictly OEM-appearing, but looks good.
