I've use the ICE Titan, the ones with the built in O rings, with great success on blocks with no receiver grooves up They where all thicker than .042 though work
I did use 2 or 3 coats of Copper Coat as a sealer also up

yep, they have eight ICS ones (at the bottom of the page) and the thinnest is .043. They aren't giving them away, either!

I use Permatex copper coat on mine, no leaks!
