Listening to a weekly car show on the radio and one of the commentators said LV is downhill... any truth to this?

Listening to a weekly car show on the radio and one of the commentators said LV is downhill... any truth to this? Please, it's depressing enough to have lost ETown already, not sure if I could stomach losing the Valley.

I was thinking he meant “down hill”....... as in from one end to the other.
The car count always seems real good at the valley........ plus the oval track always seems to have tons of spectators.

When I raced there I was led to believe that it was slightly downhill............

I always thought it was pretty flat, but what do I know. I can tell you its not like quaker city, up hill, then downhill, then up hill
They are scheduling races for next year, but like any track, owners get old, but hopefully all is well there. I think car counts are pretty good.

Last I knew the NHRA maximum pitch from one end to the other is +/- 1% that being said 1% of 1320'.... drum roll 13'2.4" worst case start to finish. Better than Plus 13'2.4" I don't recall the Flatness spec but if one were to look it up I'm sure it could be found.

I remember hearing when I first started racing NHRA in 1972/73 that their max height difference for a NHRA sanction 1/4 mile track was + or- 6.0 ft. back then I know I like racing at Las Vegas a lot better due to the uphill shut off area than at Bremerton, WA where it is a bunch downhill after the finish line I don't think I could see the finish line at the starting line there Pomona probably has a 48 to 56 inch difference downhill from the starting line to the finish line

At Quaker City in Ohio when they ran the super classes there super gas was like a 10.04 instead of 9.90 and super street was like a 11.04 instead of 10.90
