I have had a couple of 71 GTXs and I think their tips are the coolest looking tips ever. I always thought that they would look really cool on the new Ram trucks with the tips at the bumper.
Anyway, with any driving at all, the color inside the tips will be black in no time at all. And I tried a lot of different things to help keep them from going dark or to clean them after they got dark inside. I never found anything that I was happy with. Someone here may chime in with a fix that I never found.
What I finally did was to have an older used set that I drove with and a new set that I put on when parked at shows and such. That was the only way that I as happy with the look of them. You just can't drive with them and keep them nice. At least I couldn't.
Master, again and still

Do you have cut outs in the valence? No, I dont yet, I would like to find original sheetmetal as I'm thinking it might fit better. My car is finished so I can't massage the quarters. I know AMD reproduces them, again not sure how the fit is
