I am trying to finish up my engine build and have a question about pushrods. I had read in previous posts on the topic of pushrod size to get 3/8" diameter rods if you have the room for them. It looked like I did so earlier this year I ordered a set from Trend. I've got them all installed at this point but haven't run the engine yet. I was just looking through some paperwork I have on the rocker arms I bought (Comp) for some info on something else and I happened to see that it says to use 5/16" pushrods. Somehow I missed seeing this before. My question is, are the 3/8" going to be O.K. or am I either going to have to get 5/16" rods or perhaps change the adjusters on the rocker arms to accommodate the 3/8 rods? Or, will the existing adjusters work O.K. with the 3/8" rods?

It's about the ball on each end fitting/matching (1) the lifter cup & (2) the rocker & (3) side clearance to the head wall & B3 racing has the good info & checkout the scott foxwell utube video on rocker geometry to confirm you have the right length on the pushrods (or to know the right length dimention before you order if need be). I cant say 3/8 is needed (maybe maybe not) but they would be stronger & OK if they clear the wall & match the top/bottom recesses. EDIT the video is straub technologies & is 12.01 minutes long to confirm you have the right one
