Car has no roll bar, Has been running 11.20's last couple times out on motor. They told my son at tech, Don't go faster than 11.50 1st pass off the trailer it goes 11.185 on the brakes LOL
guess its time for a roll bar, because he wants to start using the plate again ! LOL

Nice ,, roll bars are good for safety but adding extra lbs stinks.

I am assuming junkyard short block with heads, cam , and intake? Magnum or LA? Doug was a complete junkyard engine with an intake and a cam. was going 12 teens on motor, best of 10.90 on a plate Ball honed it, put a standard bore flattop in it. Edelbrock heads, and a slightly bigger cam. Still a street driven everywhere car, pump gas, Went 7.03 three times in the 1/8 so im assuming it will go 10.9x on motor now The air was great also, 270' and only 38 water grains It has been running 11.20s in the summer

Nice ,, roll bars are good for safety but adding extra lbs stinks. They also stiffen up the chassis to allow for the quick elapsed times. So in my opinion it’s good weight.

Agreed , it will stiffen the car and help with ET sometimes but they are still heavy. And a PITA to get around when you are old like me. LOL

[Went 7.03 three times in the 1/8 so im assuming it will go 10.9x on motor now Not sure it's an apples-to-apples comparison, but my junk was stuck in the 11.0s when it ran 7.0s in the 1/8th; had to start dipping into the 6.9s to squeak out a best of 10.97 w/ that build.

I'll take a s.w.s.w.a.g. it's running 97-98 MPH in the 1/8th, and would have gone 11.0-11.1 at 121-122 in the 1/4. His 1/8th #s are very close to what mine were for a solid 11.0 pass. It took a 1.51 60, a 6.9x at 98+ 1/8th and 122+ MPH to squeak into the 10.9s.
How much you gonna spray it? when it was straight from the junkyard, we used to run 52n 48f and take a ton of timing out to slow it to 11.50. With a little timing in it it would go 11.teens We upped it to 65n 52f and it ran 10.90s NOW that was with stock pitons and a smoking ?? how many mile junkyard motor. Now with a fresh shortblock, great heads and a forged piston...he want to use possibly a 73n that should be 175hp Everything is waiting on the roll bar..LOL The car is too fast on motor now let alone using the plate again !
