Hey I am thinking about doing the front wheels on the cuda black and the centers on the rear black. What do you think? I photo shopped a pic of what it could look like. Thanks.

It's your car and you can do what you like but I like the look in your sig pic better.

Man, that's the first time I've seen your car from that angle, and It looks greatt from there. I love the low swoopy look, and yes black chrome, or some semi gloss black finish would be cool. Plus no more polishing and cleaning brake dust.

When I heard black wheels I thought NO way! But in that picture they look great.

Try another picture from the side before you commit. If it looks good in two or three pics, then I vote YES!

I think it would look killer with black wheels. We tried polished and black on mine and the gold just seems to work best. But man I dig black wheels.

I say black them out. I blacked out the wheels on my Dart a couple years ago and love it. I get more comments about them than anything else.

I wasnt sure how I would like it so rather than powdercoat them I scuffed them with some 600 grit wiped them clean. Used a rattle can and shot a couple coats of black primer then a few coats of semi gloss black. It holds up extremely well. Plus if does get dinged I just grab the rattle and spay another coat. I've only had to touch-up the front wheels once wheel when dumbarses at the tire shop stuck the weights on the outside.

gloss black!! I just did the prostars on my flat black 70 cuda. They look so much better! Definately powdercoat them though. The finish is alot better and the gloss is unbelievable.

I vote for polished, black wheels are for trucks. You need to post pics of that car more often.

you want to hide it paint them black... and the car

Bigdad the car has always had a hockey stick on it, its just painted on and no cubic inch under it. I'm a lil different lol.

The question now is for the rear wheel

1. Full black wheel?
2. Polished center and black the rest?
3. Black center and polished wheel?

Do you have a straight on shot from the side of the car? I'd like to get a better look at the rear wheel

I think all black chrome. If the middle was chrome and outer is black chrome I think it would be too much contrast.

I vote for semi-gloss or satin black centers just where the wheels un bolt and the rest of the rim clear coated over the polished part. the bolts will be a nice subtle detail. It will look like a mopar rally rim with a very deep trim ring and the chrome lugs! I have a set of Aluma Stars that I plan on doing that to when I get out of the sand box
