In a 1969 plymouth roadrunner is the brake light switch the same in a manual or a power set up? Mine does not seem to line up with the manual rod. Also I had to get an adjustable switch but cannot get it to find the sweet spot. I feel if there is a different bracket it will be easier than trying to bend this one to work.

Any of the late 60s and early 70s I remember working on had the master cylinder and the brake pedal in the same basic location, the brake light switch mounted the same way. The manual brake had a longer pedal arm below the master cylinder mounting point.
I would suspect the mounting bracket for the stop light switch is the problem, maybe yours is bent wrong. Gene
