Guess no one ever had a part go bad and replaced it with a superseding part.

It certainly looks like it's been there a long lime and looks factory. Someone here must have seen one of these before, whether installed in a 1970 or a 1976 mopar.

Does the car have the original underdash 1970 harness.
Was the cluster at one time replaced with perhaps rallye gauges/wiring from a later year E-body.

Car has the standard dash (70 challenger only) and the harness looks uncut around the steering column/radio/fuse area. I cant see above the glove box though.

If its a key in buzzer, it's broke or not hooked up properly... or shouldn't be there in the first place.

Friday I took my Barracuda for a ride on a uhaul car trailer. A guy came to me at a service station in virginia and wanted to know what year it was because he had 1976 Barracuda that looked just like mine. Maybe that part came from his. laugh2

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Doesn't the key buzzer plug into the fuse box?

Well, I don't have and never did have a 70 Challenger, but Central Jersey Motor parts has 2 of those in stock, and is calling it a buzzer.

I dunno for what, maybe lights on?

It takes gasoline to interest me.

3hundred, the "buzzer" shown in your diagram looks nothing like, nor is located in the same place as the one I found.
