Does anyone make a non sheet metal intake that will work on a Gen 2 Hemi with a 10.4" deck? Trying to assemble one from an old SS/AH short block to run in NSS, but I cannot use a sheet metal intake. Not sure if there is anything out there that will work or will be close enough for me to machine it enough to fit.

I think it can be done. Call Ray Barton and ask him. He may even have an old intake around. I have an old Rat Roaster crossram that I would sell cheap if you want to butcher something.

Thanks Rick,
I have an INDY cross ram that I may modify. Gonna have to look at it close and see how much trouble it will be.
I know for a while Stage 5 made an intake for low deck hemi's but those would not work either. The tough part is keeping it legal for NSS. Must have 2-4's and not sheet metal.

Keep an eye on Racingjunk. Lots of that stuff pops up there. The Crosswhites seem to list a lot of that type stuff too.
Would a spacer be possible.

If a spacer isn't an option, I'd get ahold of Tank Crosswhite. Either him or one of his brothers likely have something. Tank is "Hevi Hemi" on racingjunk. Nice guy to deal with.

Thanks Guys!
That gives me some good leads.
The short block is done and I am trying to decided which heads I will use. One of my Stage 5 heads is cracked under a valve seat, so I may end up using a pair of the old 433 (3614433) heads that I picked up a few years ago from the Teutons.
Once the long block is together I will have better measurements to figure out what to do for an intake.
