I ran the oval XR1's in a 3" on my small block. Ran same numbers with and without them. They sound nice too.

I had the same experience with them on my big block car (2-1/8" headers with the rest 3" as well). I lost .05 running through the exhaust over open headers. Not enough of a difference to make dropping the exhaust worth my while. They have held up awesome over the years and don't have the drone issue some of the others do. Only downside is they can sound a little mustang'ish on some builds. Not an issue on big blocks that I noticed but have definitely heard it with some small block builds. Not an issue, just something to note.

I run 3" round XR1's on my hemi, same as what others have stated, no impact to performance and I prefer the sound.

I assume you are referring to the collector mufflers Borla sells? If so depends on the combo and power level but performance wont drop a ton if at all. I have a brand new set here
