My buddy, Kevin Gass went out in the semi's but I think he's still leading the NSS points.

Kevin is still leading by a large margin.

I made it to the semis in NSS before I bowed out in a double breakout. I took .006 stripe. I needed to take .003
That is about as close as I am going to get it and still see it at 137mph and he was running nearly 150.

Doug, if yall want to do the #1 and #2 qualifier money again... then the racers just need to organize it and do it. It does not have to be a one time thing. I organized this one and put the first chunk of the money up to get the ball rolling.

Well we started Norwalk as we have every race this year with basically a new car...Had lots of issues with the rear end and getting converter happy. I can report that when we go to Indy we will be starting off on the right foot. Car is finally getting back to where it was in Memphis. We were 3 quickest in Q3, R1 nd R2, NO ONE has anything foe Leonard Longs Red car. Unless he makes a mistake he is THE guy this year. He spun in the semis and final and ended up R/U and I'm sure in Indy will go 70's. We will hit the ground running and hopefully finally show something good in Indy. We had a new best top speed of 170, we qualified with an 8.07 and finally have the chassis, gear and trans in what seem to be a happy place. So we can start from there rather than over as has been the case every race. The only "severe" carnage of the weekend was loosing a plug in Q1, best air of the weekend. Oh well on to Indy we a going

I have been Ryans crew chief for a few years. Yes we kinda have a spork at a gunfight but the rules favor a couple of combos over us for sure. Its just a small block chevy with a single four in basically a street car. We are generally mid pack, qualifiers 6-13 were all in the 8.0's,it is what it is. Hopefully the NMCA looks at the rules a bit this off season. They dropped weight penalties from the clutch guys and it shows. Also a certain engine combo has a VERY favorable weight break currently and hopefully they look at that as well. And don't even get me started on the chassis stuff, some of these cars have more in common with my Top Sportsman car than anything resembling whats in the rule book. But we will keep plugging away
